We've decided to elope!!

So I'm an American who has lived in London for ten+ years.

Marielle is a Dutch national who lives in Almere.

I lived in New York for thirteen years before moving to London, and my family still lives in Western New York where I was born.

Marielle's family is all over Holland.

So the problem is no matter where we hold the ceremony we were going to cause an issue.

After posting this query to the good folks at MetaFilter, we've decided to elope!
